Meet
Hermann
Mergenthaler

Your LifeNavigationCoach™

After years of navigating the waters as an Olympic athlete and racing dinghies for fun, Hermann went on to travel the world as an entrepreneur and business executive.

This journey led to the creation of Nautaraxia™, a concept born from his passion for making meaningful connections, reading, and helping people unlock their full potential and happiness.

“I’m just an ordinary person who has been tossed by life’s winds and currents—both favorable and unfavorable—and I embrace it all with joy.”

Tell me about your adventures, adversities, and dreams. I’m here to listen. Together, we can co-create your journey—and have fun in the process!

Find your course, steer with confidence.

Life isn’t about reaching a final destination—it’s about mastering the currents. Nautaraxia blends Stoic resilience with Epicurean joy, guiding you to navigate life with purpose, presence, and peace. If you feel adrift, stuck in a port, or lost in turbulent waters, you’re in the right place. Let’s set sail.

Athlete, Committed & Disciplined

Hermann Mergenthaler represented Mexico in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, competing in the Two Person Dinghy event.

While doing so, he demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication in sailing.

His Olympic participation reflects a commitment to excellence and discipline, qualities that continue to influence his approach to coaching and personal development.

Education
& Life Experience

Hermann holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and has pursued additional studies in business. He has a deep interest in philosophy and psychology, continually seeking knowledge to understand human behavior and motivation.

However, he considers his most valuable education to be the lessons learned through personal experiences—his 'multiple degrees' earned from successes, failures, and the challenges faced in the 'School of Life.'

Currently residing in the Netherlands with his wife and son, Hermann brings a wealth of global perspective and personal insight to his coaching practice.
